Instead of having your mind constantly switch between social media inputs, try keeping some platforms in one particular group and the other with another group. Or try being more specific with your social media data and see what your friends like.
Listening to motivational music while studying can boost your motivation levels and will make sure that you don’t give up easily.
For classroom usage, it’s ideal to have these songs or other sounds that feel like they could help you achieve your goals. But personally, I usually turn down the volume on some of my favorite songs when studying so that I don’t drown out other people.
8. Eat Healthy Food
The most important thing to remember is that if you want to be healthy and stay healthy, you have to eat healthy food. There is no other way around it. You can’t out train a bad diet. You can’t supplement your way to health.
You have to eat well. I remember one of my biology classes when I was in high school. The teacher had us do an immediate and quick 30-second test.
There was only one slide of our choice on the board and each slide represented a food item. Our slide told us how many calories we were eating in a day if we consumed that food item.
The questions we had to answer were how many calories were in some of our food items. We had to acknowledge the total number and then guess which food item came the closest to that number on the board. We were told we couldn’t use any food as an out-of-countered answer.
The results we got were really shocking to me. Although we had gotten the food items correct, and quite a bit more than we usually would have, the answer cards said we were eating way too many calories.
I decided then and there that I would never decide to eat any calories if I could avoid it.
Because of my diet during my past two semesters in college, I ended up suffering five straight years of eating habits that were out of control. I gained weight. I had some health issues because of it. I wasn’t physically active all the time for my whole life.
Now, I realize that the unhealthy eating habits I had were directly related to my inactivity. So eat healthy to stay healthy.
9. Stay Positive
No matter what you’re working to achieve, be it more clients or more followers, you’re going to have ups and downs. It’s important to stay motivated and positive throughout the journey. If you find yourself getting frustrated and not achieving the results you want, it’s time to take a step back and reevaluate your strategy.
10. Do Not Underestimate the Value of Rest for the Brain
The most important thing to do when you don’t feel like you’re at your best is to take a break because you’re probably more tired than you realize. Take a nap, take a walk, go for a swim, do whatever you have to do so that you can recharge your batteries.
Waking up too quickly might also discourage you from going to sleep or giving up on your study because you’re still too energized when you see bright lights at 6.30 am. To shorten your wake-up time.
Besides that, work and social commitments can affect your quality of sleep. It’s better to go to bed earlier when you’re not on your usual schedule.
It might sound a bit counter intuitive at first. Of course, a motivated, highly committed person won’t struggle with doing their studies when all they have to do is punch in a few times.
What’s the problem?
Well, a rising level of cortisol (the stress hormone) commonly goes hand in hand with being highly committed to a task. It makes people less productive and less consistent. Yet it also slows learning down which is mainly why we need breaks in the first place to recharge our memory cells.
